We had a great trip to Shelton this time. The worst part was the first hour after we left The Ranch and got onto I-10 on Thursday morning. High winds and blowing sand, semi-trucks having difficulty staying in their lanes. Rain in San Bernardino, fog on the El Cajon Pass...then smooth sailing. No more rain until Shelton.
Unpack and try to remember where everything goes. Grocery list, make the bed, hang the clothes up and take my car out of storage. Breathe in the fresh salty air and enjoy.
We started keeping track of some cities "claim to fame slogans'.
Selma California: "Raisin capitol of the WORLD"
Stockton California: Asparagus capital of the WORLD"
Sacramento California: "Americas Farm to Fork"
Weedpatch California: Growing to feed the WORLD"
Our computer here is super slow and frustrating. I'll do my best to keep things updated.
